Robert Deptula
OBITUARY
Robert Deptula peacefully joined his wife Donna in heaven on October 17, 2026, at the age of 100. Robert was born in Milwaukee WI on November 11, 1925, to Anton and Genevieve Deptula.
Robert joined the U.S. Navy in 1942 at 17, following the bombing of Pearl Harbor, and served in WWII, Korean, and Vietnam wars, retiring after 32 years. He then worked for Coca-Cola until his final retirement. He never met a stranger and loved to tell stories of his Navy days. After his wife, Donna, passed in 2018, he moved to Redwood Terrace in Escondido, where he made many wonderful friends and thoroughly enjoyed his life.
He is survived by two daughters, Susan Maldonado (Dave) of Valley Center, and Lorie Maniss of Lakeside CA; grandchildren, Sarah, Matthew, Leah, Robert (Kerry) and great-grandchild Parker.
Service will be held Wednesday October 28th at 2:15 at Miramar National Cemetery.
