FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — Community leaders held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate new homes in Southwest Fresno.
Mayor Jerry Dyer said that for the first time in decades, new homes are being built in Southwest Fresno.
It features 136 new home sites and five two-story home designs with three to five bedrooms.
The development is part of a larger 120-acre project that could bring more amenities to the area, including retail shops, a grocery store, and a medical center.
Leaders say the goal is to give more families a place to call home and help the community grow.
