A man is now in custody following a hours-long standoff with police that resulted in a trailer catching fire in East Central Fresno.
It started around 11:30 a.m. Friday, when authorities were called to a home near Fowler and Clinton.
Initially, a woman claimed to be sick, but during the course of their investigation, officers learned she was the victim of domestic violence.
Attempting to speak to a man on scene, the suspect ran from officers and barricaded himself in a trailer.
While inside, authorities say he caught the trailer on fire before running inside the home and, once again, barricading himself inside.
Eventually, officers were able to enter the home and take the suspect into custody.
