Shots were fired in Fresno’s Tower District early Sunday morning after several people were denied entry to a studio.

Officers responded to an area south of the Tower District at 2:24 a.m., near Fulton Street and Dennett Avenue, where they determined the home had been rented to film a rap video.

According to police, several people were denied entry, left the area and allegedly fired multiple shots.

The gunfire struck the exterior of a business on Fulton Street. No injuries were reported, police said.

Initially, police said it was an Airbnb.

Police added that those involved had no connection to Tower District activities.

The shooting comes as the city’s new “Vendor Market Zone” rules, approved by the City Council on Thursday, took effect over the weekend.

The investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information about the shooting should call Fresno police at 559-621-7000.
