Fresno County leaders announce safety upgrades and enforcement on Millerton Road

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (FOX26) — State and local leaders held a press conference to announce safety measures for Millerton Road.

Caltrans, CHP, Fresno County, and other regional transportation partners announced that Millerton Road in Fresno County is a new State Priority Safety Corridor.

This comes after multiple fatalities have occurred on the road.

Road improvements include installing a roundabout, centerline rumble stripes, speed feedback signs, and curve warning signs.

Plans also include more road enforcement for speeding and DUI.

The goals of the road improvements are to bring fatalities to 0%.
