Woman fatally struck by pickup truck while crossing Anaheim Street

LONG BEACH, Calif. (Nov. 13, 2025) — A woman was struck and killed late Wednesday night while crossing Anaheim Street outside of a crosswalk, according to the Long Beach Police Department.

Officers responded around 10:25 p.m. on Nov. 12th to reports of a collision at East Anaheim Street and Alamitos Avenue. When they arrived, they found an adult woman lying in the roadway. Long Beach Fire Department personnel pronounced her dead at the scene. Her identity has not yet been released, pending notification to her family.

Investigators said the driver of a 1997 Chevrolet Sierra was traveling westbound on Anaheim Street when the pickup struck the woman, who was crossing outside of a marked crosswalk.

Police said the driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators. At this time, speed, impairment, and distracted driving do not appear to be factors in the crash.
