East West Players’ Theatre for Youth presents “Tam Tran Goes to Washington” on Wednesday, Nov. 9, at 1 p.m. at LA Harbor College Music Recital Hall, 1111 Figueroa Pl., Wilmington.
Written by Elizabeth Wong and directed by Rona Par,the play is about Tam Tran, a UCLA senior who usually prefers to stay behind the camera, but finds herself thrust into the spotlight when her undocumented status draws her into the fight for the DREAM Act. With her fearless best friend Cinthya by her side, Tam’s quiet life changes overnight as she’s called to testify before Congress.
Cast members have included Jade Duong, Gabby Montejo, Nina Santoyo, Stephanie Lee, Alyssa Cobarrubias, Alexandra Fragoso, Rica Anonas and Pauline Yasuda.
