OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. – A man was sentenced to prison in a prostitution case spanning Oakland and Macomb counties.
Damon Keith Napier, 61, was arrested in Dearborn on Jan. 17, 2025, in connection to two cases in Southfield and Warren.
Police said a missing person’s report filed in 2023 began this case. It involves two 31-year-old women, according to authorities.
Napier was accused of controlling the women’s ability to use phones, transporting them for commercial sex, assaulting them, and giving them illegal drugs.
He was charged with 10 counts, including prostitution and human trafficking.
Napier pleaded no contest on July 21, 2025. On Monday, Oct. 13, he was sentenced to 13-40 years in prison.
“We know human trafficking is one of the most insidious and terrible crimes through its ongoing victimizing of those that are being trafficked,” Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard said. “We will do all in our power to hold these disgusting criminal individuals accountable for their acts and remove trafficked individuals from this torture.”
Investigators said multiple victims of this human trafficking ring have been identified, and they believe there might be more who haven’t yet come forward.
Anyone who has information about human trafficking is asked to call Madison Heights police Detective Arnela Dizdarevic at 248-837-2762, the Sheriff’s Office at 248-858-4950, or their local police.
