The second wave of a mid-November storm that arrived earlier this week in Southern California brought hours of rain overnight into Saturday for much of the region.
Rainfall that began with scattered showers Friday intensified at the start of the weekend, triggering flash flood warnings for widespread parts of Los Angeles County. Warning were first issued for the coast, including Malibu, before expanding later Saturday morning to more of the region.
The heaviest rain was expected through midday before scattered showers Saturday evening for most of Southern California.
If Los Angeles receives more than 2.43 inches of rain Saturday, this will be the wettest November on record. The current mark was set in 1985.
