Anibal Hernandez Santana remains in custody in the Sacramento County Jail without bail and is on a federal hold.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The man accused of shooting into the ABC10 building is expected to be in Sacramento Superior Court on Thursday, November 20, for a new arraignment. ABC10 is working to confirm the reason for the new appearance.

Currently, according to Sacramento County jail records, Anibal Hernandez Santana remains in custody without bail and is on a federal hold.

Hernandez Santana faces four federal charges, including discharge of a gun in a school zone, possession of a gun in a school zone, interference with a radio communication station and a criminal forfeiture allegation.

His state charges include firing into an inhabited dwelling and assault with a semi-automatic gun, along with a personal use of a firearm allegation.

The U.S. Dept. of Justice confirms to ABC10 that a federal court hearing for Hernandez Santana has been postponed until June 2026.

ABC10 has reached out to Hernandez Santana’s legal team for comment. We have not heard back by the time of publishing this story.
