The Del Mar Village Association (DMVA) once again rallied a crowd of well-wishers to cheer on more than 2,000 San Diego Susan G. Komen 3-DAY event participants who walked through the heart of the Del Mar Village on Nov. 14. The 3-DAY walk was held from Nov. 14-Nov. 16.
This cheering station is an annual outpouring of support from the community that welcomed the walkers with pink balloons and ribbons. Cheerleaders from Torrey Pines High School, the Del Mar Lifeguards, local business owners and community residents lined the streets to cheer the event participants on their walk as they headed south to San Diego. Funds raised at the event provide critical funding for breast cancer research, care and advocacy. Visit www.komen.org/community/california/san-diego/ for more information.
