The Utah Mammoth (10-7-1) face the Anaheim Ducks (11-6-1) Monday. Puck drop from Honda Center in Anaheim, California, is set for 10 p.m. ET (ESPN+). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s NHL odds around the Mammoth vs. Ducks odds and make our expert NHL picks and predictions.
2024-25 season series: Ducks won 2-1
The Mammoth have dropped 4 of 5 after a 3-2 overtime loss to the New York Islanders Friday. They were -215 home faves in that one. RW Dylan Guenther netted his seventh goal, but No. 1 overall pick Matthew Schaefer tickled the twine 2:08 into the extra session.
The Ducks dropped their third straight Saturday in a 2-0 defeat at the Minnesota Wild to conclude a 3-game road trip. They were +106 dogs in that one. The Ducks managed 28 shots, but had to kill 7 power plays, and credit to them for doing so. C Leo Carlsson is developing into a star. He has been held off the scoresheet in 2 straight, but he had a 4-game stretch before that with 6 goals and an 11-game point streak.

The 29-year-old vet stopped 19 of 21 in Friday’s loss to the Islanders. He has allowed 3+ in 7 of his last 10 starts. He faced the Ducks once last season, stopping 19 of 21 in a 3-2 win
Dostal allowed 5 goals on 32 shots in a 6-3 loss to the Detroit Red Wings Thursday. He has allowed 3+ goals in 4 of 5 starts this month. He was between the pipes for a 5-4 shootout win over Utah last season, stopping 21 of 25.
Mammoth at Ducks picks and predictionsPrediction
Mammoth 5, Ducks 4
This is a get-right game for both squads, and I’m leaning MAMMOTH (-115). Anaheim C Mikael Granlund (lower body) missed the Minnesota game with a lower-body injury, and the Ducks just don’t have the depth to compete with a deep Mammoth team.
Give me CLAYTON KELLER OVER 2.5 SHOTS ON GOAL (-140). He has cashed this in 3 of 4 games and scored a goal in 2 of the 3 meetings last season.
This is an easy OVER 6.5 (-110) for me. Surprisingly, the Ducks are tied for second in the sport with 3.67 goals per game. The Mammoth have cashed 4 of 5 Overs, and 2 of the 3 meetings went Over last season.
