Authorities sought the public’s assistance Monday in locating a 65-year-old man last seen in the Baldwin Village area of Los Angeles, prompting the issuance of a Silver Alert.

Dennis Bolton was last seen around 9 a.m. Thursday near Obama Boulevard and South La Brea Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol, which activated the alert on behalf of the Los Angeles Police Department.

Bolton was described as a 5-foot-9-inch-tall man weighing 180 pounds with gray hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black shirt, dark gray pants, and a black grocery store apron.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Bolton was urged to call 911.

The CHP established the Silver Alert program to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearances of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
