The Los Angeles Police Department shot a man who was allegedly armed and under the influence of drugs in Canoga Park Monday afternoon.
Officers responded to the 8300 block of Northgate Avenue just before 12:30 p.m. for reports of a person armed with a gun, Officer Cervantes said.
Footage shared to the Citizen app shows the scene is a residential area with multiple apartment buildings.

The Los Angeles Fire Department told police the man was under the influence of narcotics.
While details have not yet been released, police said an ambulance was requested for the 30-year-old man. His current condition is unknown.
No injuries to officers have thus far been reported.
