The new burger joint’s second location is slated to launch just after the holidays at 2301 K St., according to an Instagram post by the business earlier this month.
SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Gami Burger, a pandemic startup that found a home earlier this year where Willie’s in Carmichael once stood, will expand to Midtown Sacramento.
The burger joint’s second brick-and-mortar location is slated to open just after the holidays at 2301 K St., according to an Instagram post Nov. 7 by the business. Gami Burger welcomed customers in June to its first location at Fair Oaks Boulevard and Arden Way.
Chefs Scott Ostrander and Paul DiPierro are the minds behind the brand. The pair are Sacramento-area natives who met at The Kitchen in 2013, ABC10 previously reported.
They have collaborated at restaurants like Esquire Grill, Paragary’s, The Inn at Park Winters and East Sacramento’s Origami Asian Grill, which they launched in 2018.
Gami Burger is an all-American extension of the duo’s Origami Asian Grill, an Asian fusion restaurant, according to the Instagram post.
