The San Francisco and the Baltimore police departments confirmed on Monday that four members of the Baltimore police, including a commander, were suspended following a San Francisco Police Department criminal investigation into the officers.
It is currently unknown what the officers are being investigated for, and whether the Baltimore officers engaged in criminal activity in San Francisco.
The Baltimore Banner reported earlier today that Baltimore commanding officer Major Jai Etwaroo, along with officers Juan Rivas, Angel Villaronga, and Jahmoor Acosta have been suspended from the Baltimore police department and are now performing administrative duties pending the results of the SFPD investigation.
The San Francisco Police Department did not comment on the investigation, citing that it is active and ongoing.
This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
