OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. – Officials have revealed the 10 most dangerous intersections in Oakland County and how many crashes, injuries and deaths happened at each last year.
Michigan Auto Law uses data from Michigan State Police to rank the most dangerous intersections in the state each year. The rankings from 2024 were revealed this week.
Any road with a traffic signal, a four-way stop, or a roundabout qualifies as an intersection. Crashes within 200 feet count toward an intersection’s total.
The most dangerous intersection in Oakland County, according to Michigan Auto Law, is Martin Parkway at N Pontiac Trail in Commerce Township. This is the largest roundabout in Oakland County, with 151 total crashes and nine injuries reported in 2024. The total number of crashes and injuries have decreased since 2023.
The second-most dangerous intersection in Oakland County is Orchard Lake Road at 14 Mile Road in Farmington Hills. This congested roundabout was also ranked among the most dangerous intersections in the county in previous years, with 109 total crashes and five injuries in 2024. The total number of crashes and injuries has dropped since 2023, when there were 132 reported crashes and 12 injuries.
