LOT Polish Airlines is to introduce flights from Warsaw to San Francisco in 2026 as it expands its transatlantic network.
The carrier will operate four weekly services on the route from 6 May, with departures on Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, using Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.
LOT already flies from Warsaw to five US airports: New York JFK, Newark, Chicago, Miami and Los Angeles.
Robert Ludera, director of LOT’s network department, said transatlantic flights were of “strategic importance” for the airline.
“Not only will the new route connect the heart of Europe with the global hub for technology and innovation, but it will also open up new opportunities for both business travellers and tourists,” added Ludera.
“San Francisco, along with neighbouring Silicon Valley, is the cradle of numerous global brands and a location that consistently attracts entrepreneurs and investors from around the world.”
