BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man allegedly involved in multiple retail thefts on Nov. 9.

The man allegedly entered Home Depot on Mt. Vernon Avenue on Nov. 9 at about 10:45 a.m., selected multiple items, shoved an employee through an open exit door and fled with the merchandise on a motorized scooter, according to police.

Police said he was also involved in thefts that included Lowes and PetSmart.

The man is described as about 30 to 40 years old, with a medium build, medium complexion and dark brown and black braided hair with a goatee and mustache.
