Hundreds of students at Oakland high schools walked out of class on Tuesday, calling for an end to gun violence, especially on school campuses.
SKY7 was over Skyline High School when students gathered in front of the school and walked down Redwood Road toward Highway 13.
The walkout comes a week after a 15-year-old student was shot on campus. Two juveniles are now in custody.
The student is expected to recover, and Oakland police say he’s in good spirits.
