A 19-year-old man was arrested after he allegedly drove a vehicle with sirens and red and blue lights through the Sacramento State campus while yelling, “ICE raid.” One person was hit by the vehicle but was unhurt, police said.The Sacramento State Police Department said the incident occurred on Nov. 10 at Parking Structure 1 near the softball and baseball fields. Officials said the suspect was in a white Ford Explorer and driving erratically through the parking garage with the lights and sirens on while yelling. By the time officers stopped the driver, the police department said he had hit a person, who was uninjured. It was discovered he was driving a decommissioned public safety vehicle. Police identified the driver as Omar Imad Maadarani. He was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon while operating a motor vehicle and impersonating a police officer.
