A Silver Alert is in effect Wednesday for a 75-year-old man who was reported missing after he was last seen in Lakewood.
Khan Van Tran was last seen at approximately 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Lakewood Center Mall and Pepperwood Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol, which issued the alert on behalf of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Tran is Asian, 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighs 150 pounds, has gray hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a beige and blue flannel jacket, black pants and black sandals. Authorities say Tran is believed to be traveling on foot.
Anyone who has seen Tran or knows of his whereabouts is asked to call 911.
The CHP established the Silver Alert program to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearances of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
