The Boston Bruins (12-9-0) face the Anaheim Ducks (12-6-1) Wednesday. Puck drop from Honda Center in Anaheim, California, is set for 10 p.m. ET (ESPN+). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s NHL odds around the Bruins vs. Ducks odds and make our expert NHL picks and predictions.
Season series: Ducks lead 1-0 after a 7-5 win at Boston Oct. 23.
The Bruins fell 3-1 to the Carolina Hurricanes as +176 home dogs Monday. LW Riley Tufte scored the lone tally in his season debut fresh up from the AHL. RW David Pastrnak was invisible with just 1 SOG in the game. The effort ended his 4-game point streak. Boston has lost 2 of 3 after a 7-game winning streak.
The Ducks snapped a 3-game losing streak with a 3-2 winner over the Utah Mammoth Monday. The OT win came as +109 home dogs. RW Troy Terry scored his sixth goal of the season. Through 19 games, the Ducks are the surprising leader of the Pacific Division despite the recent 3-game lapse.

Moneyline (ML): Bruins +150 (bet $100 to win $150) | Ducks -185 (bet $185 to win $100)Puck line (PL)/Against the spread (ATS): Bruins +1.5 (-155) | Ducks -1.5 (+125)Over/Under (O/U): 6.5 (O: -105 | U: -115)Bruins at Ducks projected goalies
Jeremy Swayman (8-5-0, 2.99 GAA, .902 SV%) vs. Lukas Dostal (9-5-1, 2.80 GAA, .903 SV%)
Swayman stopped 29-of-32 shots in a 3-1 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes Monday. He’s going through it a little bit with 3 goals allowed in 4 of 5 starts, but he still has a .920 SV% in 6 November starts. Anaheim beat him in overtime last season as he stopped 26 of 29.
Dostal and the Ducks outlasted the Mammoth 3-2 in overtime Monday. He stopped 16-of-18 shots fired his way. Dostal is a different tendy at home as he’s 6-1-0 with a 2.29 GAA and .913 SV% at home vs. 3-4-1 with a 3.25 GAA and .895 SV% on the road. Dostal stopped 9 of 10 in a 3-2 overtime win against Boston in relief last season.
Bruins at Ducks picks and predictionsPrediction
Ducks 3, Bruins 2
The Ducks have won 4 straight meetings with Boston, spanning back to Oct. 2023. They’re the side here, but we’re not paying -185 for them.
PASS.
I’ll take the BRUINS +1.5 (-155) here. The Bruins are 15-6 ATS and have a reasonable chance of coming out on top here against a young team still learning how to win and remain consistent.
The Bruins are 6-4 O/U in their last 10, and the Ducks are 5-5. It could go either way, but I loathe Over 6.5 totals. The UNDER 6.5 (-115) has a much better chance at cashing.
