UCPD closed a case this afternoon involving a man who a witness reported was kidnapped Tuesday night near Stephens Hall.
UCPD Sergeant Jacob Westile reported that the subject targeted in the alleged kidnapping came forward and reported that the acts were consensual, meaning there was no crime and the kidnapping was unfounded.
Police reported earlier today that a witness observed a man being carried into a van by a group of 8 to 10 college-aged males around midnight, which was then driven off campus. A witness reported hearing no sounds of distress, but did hear giggling and laughing, according to Westlie.
Westile said the case has since been closed.
