BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Tehachapi Hometown Christmas event is set to return to Green Street in downtown Tehachapi early December.

The event is scheduled for Dec. 6 from noon to 4 p.m. and will include family fun, handcrafted gifts, activities and crafts for kids, along with live entertainment, according to organizers.

The event schedule is as follows:

• Live Christmas music from the Centennial Plaza stage from noon to 1:30 p.m.
• Tehachapi Ballroom Dance to perform on the Green and F St stage from noon to 12:30 p.m.
• Dance Philosophy and Aerial Garden to perform on the Green and F St stage from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
• Ugly Christmas Sweater contest at 2 p.m.
• Live Christmas music from the band 4 of a Kind at the Green Street stage from 2:30 p.m. 4 p.m.
• Photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus on the Centennial Plaza stage from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Organizers said throughout the event there will be activities for children.

The Christmas Parade is set to start at 5:30 p.m.
