There’s a bridge along my favorite running route that crosses above Highway 113. On the west side of the bridge is the idyllic farmscape of the university’s agricultural research campus: traditional-looking barns, pastures dotted with sheep, beehives, and orchards. But on the east is the Genome and Biomedical Sciences building: a towering building of at least six stories, dedicated to cutting-edge research in the biomedical sciences.
