(FOX40.COM) — Six people are injured after a multi-vehicle crash in Sacramento on Thursday evening.

Around 5:20 p.m., the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District responded to an area near Mather Boulevard and Arnold Way for a car crash. When crews arrived at the scene, they reported five people with injuries. However, the number of injured people was updated to six people, four adults and two children. All of them were taken to a local hospital.

The cause of the crash is unclear. It is under investigation by the California Highway Patrol. At around 6 p.m., the crash site was cleared for traffic.
