BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) The 22nd annual St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway in Bakersfield concluded with one lucky winner, Noe Torres, receiving the keys to a brand-new home built by John Balfanz Homes.

The event, which supports St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, began in August with the unveiling of the home and a community floor-signing event.

By September, the three-bedroom, two-bathroom house, spanning approximately 1,850 square feet, was completed and fully furnished.

In November, the community gathered to announce the winner.

Beatrice from the St. Jude Dream Home called Noe to deliver the exciting news: “Hi Noe, this is Beatrice from the Saint Jude Dream Home, and I want to tell you congratulations, you won the house tonight!”

A surprised Noe responded, “You’re kidding?”
