BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A crash involving a semi-truck and another vehicle that damaged a guardrail is causing delays for drivers near the Grapevine Thursday afternoon.
The collision was reported at around 2:15 p.m. in southbound lanes of I-5 just south of Grapevine Road, according to the California Highway Patrol’s Traffic Incident Information Page.

The semi-truck jackknifed from the collision and is blocking multiple lanes. About 40 feet of guardrail was damaged in the crash causing an immediate hazard, officials said.
The #1 and #2 lanes are closed. There is no estimate for reopening and clearing the lanes of damaged vehicles.
