New this year, seven central city museums have collaborated to offer a
Special Museum Store Sunday Shopper’s Passport
Complete with a variety of holiday specials and plenty of in-stock inventory on-hand, Sacramento area museums are proud to participate in the 9th Annual Museum Store Sunday on November 30, 2025. In partnership with the Museum Store Association (MSA), more than 2,200 museum stores representing all 50 states and the District of Columbia, 25 countries, and five continents will offer inspired shopping at your favorite museums and cultural institutions. Museum Store Sunday offers an opportunity for the community to shop with a purpose while supporting the missions and programs of each participating museum and cultural institution.
In addition to special offers and unique merchandise, seven museums in the central city are offering a Museum Store Sunday Shopper’s Passport which is new this year. A sampling of the gift items and discounts available on Museum Store Sunday at local Sacramento area museum stores (most that are open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.) include the following:
· Museum Store Sunday Shopper’s Passport – Seven museum stores have collaborated on a special passport to encourage shoppers to stop by multiple shops to get a stamp for a chance to win three valuable prize baskets filled with museum goods (minimum of three museum store stamps are required to be entered for the drawing). Passports can be picked up and dropped off at any of these museum stores located inside the California Automobile Museum, California Museum, California State Railroad Museum, Capitol Books & Gifts* (inside the California State Capitol Museum), Crocker Art Museum, SMUD Museum of Science & Curiosity, and Sacramento History Museum. *Due to the State Capitol hours during the holiday weekend, Capitol Books & Gifts is only open on Monday (December 1) so on the gift shop’s website, an online code will be available to enter instead of a visit to the location. Winners will be drawn randomly and winners contacted later that week.
· Aerospace Museum of California – Shoppers can kick off the holiday season and find the perfect gift for aviation enthusiasts on their lists. On Museum Store Sunday, shoppers can enjoy 25% off all merchandise in the gift shop, including a wide selection of STEM kits, toys, books, models, paintings, and more, but excluding Snoopy merchandise. Plus, holiday shoppers support a great local cause, as every dollar spent in the shop directly supports the Museum’s mission. · California Automobile Museum – Looking to rev up the holidays for the car lover on your list? Shoppers at the California Automobile Museum can get a 10% discount storewide, and museum members can enjoy 20% off storewide on Museum Store Sunday. Guests can choose from collectible cars and memorabilia to museum swag and vintage automobile books, models, and magazines. Want to give over a year of auto experiences? From November 28 to December 31, new and renewing memberships receive an additional three months free.
