BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — The Bakersfield Police Department said on Friday and Saturday, October 3rd and 4th, 2025, four Bakersfield Police Department Motor Officers participated in the San Diego County Motor Officers’ Association’s Annual Police Motorcycle Training and Competition, held at Mission Bay.

Participating BPD officers swept the Harley-Davidson competitions, placing first in five categories: Main Event, 4-Man Team Ride, 2-Man Teather Ride, 2-man Chase, and the Slow Race.

They competed against representatives from the Tijuana Police Department, Las Vegas Metro Police Department, and Apache County, AZ Sheriff’s Office on their Harley Davidson Electra Glides.

In the Main Event:

1st place: Richard Robles, Senior Police Officer, Bakersfield PD2nd place: Aaron Waddle, Police Officer, Bakersfield PD3rd place: Justin Enns, Senior Police Officer, Bakersfield PD

4-Man Team Ride:

1st place: Bakersfield PD Team members: Justin Enns, Richard Robles, Aaron Waddle, Matthew Ronk

2-Man Tether Ride:

1st place: Bakersfield PD Team members: Richard Robles, Aaron Waddle

2-Man Chase:

1st place: Bakersfield PD Team members: Richard Robles, Aaron Waddle3rd place: Bakersfield PD Team members: Justin Enns, Matthew Ronk

Slow Race:

1st place: Justin Enns, Senior Police Officer, Bakersfield PD2nd place: Richard Robles, Senior Police Officer, Bakersfield PD

BPD said over 90 motor officers from Nevada, Arizona, California, and Mexico competed in two divisions (BMW and Harley-Davidson).

BPD’s attendance in this competition was largely funded by monies raised during the March 2025 BPD Motors Skills Competition event.

Many of the same agencies and competitors will gather on March 13th and 14th, 2026, in Bakersfield to compete in BPD’s Third Annual Motors Skills Competition at The Park at Riverwalk.
