Someone must have seen a penny and picked it up because it will be a good luck weekend with a reunion of “Grease” cast members and “CHiPs” as part of the Bakersfield Comic-Con.

That reference was to a quote from Jan, played by Jamie Donnelly, who will join fellow Pink Ladies Marty (Dinah Manoff) T-Bird Sonny (Michael Tucci), dreamy Rydell High football captain Tom (Lorenzo Lamas) and the film’s director, Randal Kleiser, at the show coming to the Kern County Fairgrounds.

This annual two-day event, which returns this weekend to the Kern County Fairgrounds, will feature plenty of guests, vendors, activities, gaming, a costume contest and a fantasy fair.

Fans of “CHiPs” will be excited to see the team-up of stars Erik Estrada and Larry Wilcox, who played partners Ponch and Jon on the popular NBC action crime drama. Actor Lou Wagner, who played mechanic Harlan Arliss on the show, will also be one of the guests at the show.

Also set to appear are actress Kristy McNichol, who had many guest roles — including “CHiPs” — before earning recognition as Buddy on the ABC show “Family,” then in films like “Little Darlings” and shows such as NBC’s “Empty Nest,” which starred fellow event guest Dinah Manoff.

Nutter has a long career that includes recording, songwriting and acting. He was a featured guest on Buck Owens’ “Ranch Show,” and appeared on television shows such as “The Waltons,” “Falcon Crest,” “Knots Landing” and “The Fall Guy.”

Also taking part will bw wrestlers Thunder Rosa, former AEW Women’s World Champion and the first Mexican-born wrestler to hold the NWA World Women’s Championship; and Chavo Guerrero Jr., who between the WCW, WWE and TNA, has held over a dozen total championships.
