BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Bakersfield Christmas Town is looking to support Kern County veterans on the first day of December while keeping the jolly holiday spirits alive.
The event is scheduled to run from Friday, Nov. 28 until Jan. 3, from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sundays through Thursdays and 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
The town will be located at the Kern County Fairgrounds at 1142 South P Street in Bakersfield, according to organizers.
All admission proceeds on Dec. 1 will be donated to Honor Flight Kern County, organizers said.

Guests who bring a valid military ID or veteran ID card to the gate can also get $5 off.
Activities at the Christmas Town include the sledding hill, a 40-foot-tall lit Christmas tree, an ice skating rink, a chance to visit Santa Claus in his cottage, Christmas-themed bounce houses and more.
Only drive-thrus through the town are allowed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, according to organizers.
