LONG BEACH, Calif. — Over 100 firefighters are responding to a ship fire at the Port of Los Angeles, with visible fire on multiple levels on the ship.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, all crew members are accounted for, with no injuries reported as progress on fire containment remains slow.
LAFD Hazardous Materials companies are monitoring air quality as fire suppression continues, according to Mayor Karen Bass.
The City is responding to an electrical fire on a container ship at the Port of Los Angeles.
First responders are on the scene with more than 100 firefighters working to suppress the fire and Port Police have assisted the crew to safety.

LAFD also noted that the ship’s height in the water is being monitored and has been noted stable despite the large amount of water used for fire suppression.
