The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped Wednesday for the seventh time in eight days, decreasing a half-cent to $4.704.
The average price has dropped 2.5 cents over the past eight days, including seven-tenths of a cent Tuesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The run began with five consecutive decreases, then was interrupted by an increase of one-tenth of a cent Monday. The run resumed on Tuesday.
The average price is 2.4 cents less than one week ago and nine-tenths of a cent lower than one month ago and 9.3 cents more than one year ago. It has decreased $1.789 since rising to a record $6.493 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The Orange County average price dropped three-tenths of a cent to $4.67 one day after decreasing 1.3 cents. It is 3.5 cents less than one week ago and 3.6 cents lower than one month ago but 11.8 cents more than one year ago.
The Orange County average price has dropped $1.788 since rising to a record $6.458 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price dropped for the 13th time in 14 days, decreasing nine-tenths of a cent to $3.067. It has dropped 9.3 cents over the past 14 days, including six-tenths of a cent Tuesday.
The run began with four consecutive decreases. The national average price was unchanged Oct. 6, then resumed dropping the next day.
The national average price is 4.8 cents less than one week ago, 11 cents lower than one month ago and 13.6 cents below what it was one year ago. The national average price has dropped $1.949 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
