Investigation underway after body discovered in southeast Bakersfield home

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Officers discovered a body inside a southeast Bakersfield home after a welfare check Saturday afternoon.

The Bakersfield Police Department said on November 22, 2025, at around 12:37 p.m., officers were called to a home in the 300 block of Vancluse Bay Drive regarding a welfare check.

Police said officers found a body of a man inside the home.

Homicide detectives responded and assumed the investigation.
