Adrian McIntyre came off the bench to lead USD with 15 points and five rebounds in 20 minutes. Vuk Boskovic scored 14 points and Toneari Lane added 12.

Series history: Cal Baptist won the only previous meeting, 76-73 in 2022.

Lancers notes: Cal Baptist defeated UC Riverside 80-57 just before the Highlanders defeated USD. Guard Dominque Daniel Jr. leads Cal Baptist with 19.0 points and 4.0 assists per game. Martel Williams is averaging 14.2 points and 6.2 rebounds per game.

Toreros notes: Juanse Gorosito leads USD at 13.2 points per game. Lane (11.8) and Ty-Laur Johnson (10.0) are the only other Toreros averaging in double figures. Lane is shooting 46.9%  from 3-point range.
