FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — Councilmember Annalisa Perea released a statement about the future development of the Tower District.
The Fresno City Council passed the Tower District Specific Plan back on November 20th.
Councilmember Perea said, “This plan ensures development will honor the unique cultural identity of the Tower District while promoting a more vibrant, accessible, and sustainable community for future generations.
The roadmap explains support for small businesses, arts, and nightlife in the area.
Improving all forms of transit in the area with an emphasis on safer streets and pedestrian-friendly design.
Expanding access to green spaces and parks, along with creating new opportunities for community gathering places, and strengthening partnerships with local schools.
The plan also leaves room for improving infrastructure and promoting infill development that aligns with the character of the Tower District.
