BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A runaway juvenile was located during an enforcement sweep in northeast Bakersfield on Friday.

Officers with the Bakersfield Police Department Impact Unit conducted a targeted enforcement on Friday in the area of Oswell and Auburn streets.

Police said there were concerns of illegal camping, loitering and open-air drug use in the area.

In the enforcement, a juvenile who was reported as a runaway in July was found and placed in protective custody.

One other person requested social services and Flood Ministries assisted them, according to police.

During the enforcement, six people were arrested for trespassing or outstanding warrants. Two encampments were cleared and three dogs were seized, according to the police department.
