Mild to moderate Santa Ana winds will arrive Tuesday and last through Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, lifting temperatures above average across San Diego County, the National Weather Service says.

Forecasters say the winds, which will be strongest east of Interstate 15, are unlikely to start and spread wildfires because of the heavy rain the region has received this month. Another round of moisture could arrive as early as Saturday.

San Diego’s daytime high will be 66 on Monday, 69 on Tuesday and 74 on Wednesday and Thursday. The seasonal high is 69. Ramona’s highs will be 70 on Monday, 77 on Tuesday, and 79 on Wednesday and Thursday. The seasonal high is 70.

The offshore winds could drop the relative humidity into the high teens and low 20s, especially on Wednesday. Such dryness can affect people’s sinuses and make it harder to sleep.

San Diego International Airport has recorded 3.51 inches of precipitation since the rainy season began on Oct. 1. That’s 2 inches above average.

Ramona has received 2.90 inches, which is 1.49 inches above average. Many inland communities have received less rain than coastal areas, which is highly unusual.
