A small electrical fire has halted some Metro train traffic near MacArthur Park in Los Angeles Tuesday afternoon.

The fire was reported just after 1 p.m. at the Wilshire/Alvarado station, 662 S. Alvarado St., on the Red Line, the Los Angeles Fire Department said.

“Report of light smoke in the Wilshire/Alvarado station,” the LAFD added. “Trains into and out of station have been stopped. The train station has been evacuated out of precaution.”

No injuries were immediately reported.

A similar incident was reported about 45 minutes later, though this electrical fire affected a Purple Line station still under construction at 761 S. La Brea Ave.

No injuries were reported here, either.
