In accordance with California’s Assembly Bill 1572, the City of Fullerton is set to transform its City Hall front lawn, transitioning away from non-functional turf by 2027. This initiative aims to create a more sustainable and drought-tolerant landscape, aligning with broader environmental goals amid ongoing water conservation efforts.
City officials are inviting residents to participate in the planning process by sharing their thoughts and suggestions through an online survey. The survey not only seeks input on the design of the new landscape but also encourages residents to submit any relevant photos that could enhance the community-driven project.

The deadline for submitting responses is December 11th, and city officials hope to gather a wide range of opinions to ensure the new design reflects the desires and needs of the community. This reimagining of the City Hall lawn not only represents a shift toward more eco-friendly landscaping but also encourages civic engagement and collaboration among residents.
