OAKLAND — A man who pimped a woman after luring her to the area with a modeling job was sentenced to six years in state prison, according to court records.
Christopher Lee Card, 40, pleaded no contest to pimping the woman and was formally sentenced in October, court records show. Card was given about four years worth of credit for time he spent behind bars while the case was pending, including time credits for good behavior.
Card was arrested in 2021, after the woman reported that he was holding her against her will at a Union City hotel. She later told authorities he offered her a modeling job but that after she flew in from out of state, her forced her to have sex with strangers for money, “as many as I possibly could in one day.” Human trafficking charges were dropped as part of the deal.
While Card was out of custody awaiting trial, he was arrested and charged with assaulting his grandma’s 71-year-old caretaker. That charge was dropped after he pleaded no contest in this case, records show.
The prosecution was also stalled by allegations that Card was mentally incompetent for trial in 2023, according to court records.
At the time of his arrest, Card was living in Emeryville. He also went by the name Samir Haseen, according to court records.
