SACRAMENTO, Calif. — California Highway Patrol North Sacramento says a woman is dead after being hit while crossing the street.

CHP says this happened on Marconi Avenue, west of Burnece Street. They say a driver of a Toyota sedan hit the woman.

CHP says she was pronounced dead at the hospital. The driver of the Toyota was a man in his 50s. 

They add that DUI is not suspected.
