FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — Thanksgiving spirit was on full display at Fresno’s Senior Citizens Village Thursday, where residents were treated to a full buffet courtesy of Club One Casino.

Staff members rolled in with trays of holiday favorites, filling plates to the brim for seniors gathered in the common area.

For those unable to leave their rooms, volunteers personally delivered meals to ensure no one was left out of the celebration.

Many residents were excited to see a familiar face, Chef Soupy, known from Great Day on FOX26, was there helping prepare and serve the feast, making sure every senior enjoyed a warm holiday meal.

Club One President Kyle Kirkland says giving back is part of who they are.

“Whether it’s a blood drive or giving back to the community with a trunk-or-treat event we did a school supplies event earlier this year. We’re always trying to give back to the community,” says Kirkland.

Fresno City Councilmember Brandon Vang also helped serve meals today, emphasizing the importance of supporting seniors, especially during the holidays.

“If you know someone who’s a senior citizen, reach out to them. Just a simple ‘hello,’ ‘how are you,’ ‘happy Thanksgiving’ that would make their day,” says Vang.
