Feather River College Athletics announces that the men’s rodeo team placed third at the Fresno State University Rodeo and the Bakersfield College Rodeo, with freshman Ian Leavitt taking the title of regional leader in bareback riding. After riding in the West Hills Community College Rodeo yesterday, Nov. 27, the team is set to compete in the Allan Hancock College Rodeo today and tomorrow, Nov. 28 and 29 at the Santa Maria Elks Rodeo Grounds.

Fresno results

At the Fresno State University Rodeo Nov. 7 at the Clovis Rodeo Grounds, results were as follows:

Men’s team: third place

Women’s team: seventh place

Men’s all around: Cache Montgomery, fourth place

Bareback riding: Ian Leavitt, second place

Steer wrestling: James Peterson, second place; Cache Montgomery, sixth place

Team roping heeler: Cache Montgomery, sixth place

Breakaway roping: Emilee Miller, sixth place

Goat tying: Ava Solberg, eighth place

Bakersfield results

At the Bakersfield College Rodeo Nov. 8 and 9 at the Kern County Fairgrounds, results were as follows:

Men’s team: third place

Saddle bronc: Ian Livingstone, third place

Bareback riding: Ian Leavitt, first place

Bull riding: Hunter Maxwell, first place

Steer wrestling: Cache Montgomery, third place

Short round qualifiers/top 10: all of the above, plus Garrett Christiansen in tie-down roping, Emilee Miller in breakaway roping and Emily Bennett in breakaway roping
