San Jose police are investigating a shooting at Valley Fair Mall in West San Jose that left three people injured, authorities said.
According to the San José Police Department’s official Twitter account, officers responded to the scene and located the victims who had sustained gunshot wounds. They were transported to a local hospital for treatment.

KTLA’s sister station KRON reported that authorities are urging the public to avoid the area while officers continue their investigation and work to ensure public safety.
“This shooting appears to be an isolated incident and NOT an active shooter. However, officers are evacuating and clearing the mall to confirm there is no ongoing threat to public safety,” authorities said.
At this time, no additional details about the victims or suspects have been released. Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact San Jose police.
