$979K Powerball win in California, Jackpot soars to $719M for next draw

(FOX40.COM) — Someone in California became nearly a millionaire after pulling 5 out of 6 numbers on Wednesday night’s Powerball drawing.

According to the California Lottery website, the winning Powerball ticket was worth $979,462, which was sold at a 7-Eleven on 23012 Los Alisos Boulevard in Mission Viejo. However, the jackpot of $618 million still remains untouched as no one got all six numbers.

You win the lottery in California, here’s what’s next

The six numbers were: 7, 8, 15, 19, 28, and Powerball 3, the California Lottery website shows.

Will you take the jackpot home? The next drawing is set for Saturday night with a winning prize of $719 million.

Even though there was no jackpot winner this round, the California Lottery website reports 104,405 tickets that were sold and won. The winnings ranged from $4 to $979,462.
