BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — The community of Bakersfield came together for the 9th annual tree lighting ceremony in front of Dignity Health Arena in downtown.

The festive event featured appearances by Santa and Mrs. Claus, along with treats and live music.
Eyewitness News Morning Anchor and Weatherman Aaron Perlman emceed this year’s celebration, adding to the holiday cheer.
Immediately following the event, the Bakersfield Condors hosted their annual ‘Teddy Bear Toss’ inside the arena.
The first goal by the Condors was scored just minutes into the game, prompting the toss. All the toys collected will be donated to local kids in need.
