Sacramento County deputies were in a standoff for hours Monday morning with a man they say shot at deputies, according to the sheriff’s office.Deputies responded to a 911 call about a domestic violence incident in a car in an apartment complex parking lot on 39th Street near Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard around 12:40 a.m. Monday, officials said. When they arrived, the man got out of the car and fired at deputies before fleeing the scene, according to the sheriff’s office. No deputies were injured.Deputies tracked the suspect to an RV community on Stillman Park Circle, where the standoff began. The suspect was armed and positioned himself in a tree just outside of the community, but had since moved, according to the sheriff’s office.The man had a long criminal history and was known to law enforcement, officials said.Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard to 47th Avenue was closed. Sacramento County deputies were in a standoff for hours Monday morning with a man they say shot at deputies, according to the sheriff’s office.

Deputies responded to a 911 call about a domestic violence incident in a car in an apartment complex parking lot on 39th Street near Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard around 12:40 a.m. Monday, officials said. When they arrived, the man got out of the car and fired at deputies before fleeing the scene, according to the sheriff’s office. No deputies were injured.

Deputies tracked the suspect to an RV community on Stillman Park Circle, where the standoff began. The suspect was armed and positioned himself in a tree just outside of the community, but had since moved, according to the sheriff’s office.

The man had a long criminal history and was known to law enforcement, officials said.

Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard to 47th Avenue was closed. The off-ramp from Highway 99 to 47th Avenue is also closed and traffic is being stopped along 47th.
